Endoscopy
Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
EGD is a diagnostic procedure that allows our surgeons to examine the lining of your esophagus, stomach, and upper part of the small intestine. This helps us identify any abnormalities, including reflux damage or hiatal hernias.
pH Bravo
This is a wireless probe that is placing during EGD and measures the acidity levels in your esophagus over a 4-day period. This test helps us determine the severity of your acid reflux and tailor our treatment approach to your specific needs.
Robotic Surgery
Hiatal Hernia Repair
A hiatal hernia is when the stomach slides through the diaphragm into the chest. This can cause acid reflux as well as other symptoms.
Our skilled surgeons use state-of-the-art robotic technology to perform hiatal hernia repairs with precision and minimal invasiveness. This advanced technique allows for faster recovery and reduced postoperative pain.
Fundoplication
This surgery involves wrapping a portion of your stomach around the esophagus to act as a valve and reduce reflux into the esophagus. This can be done as a full wrap (Nissen Fundoplication) or a partial wrap such as a Toupet Fundoplication.
LINX Procedure
The LINX procedure involves the placement of a small, flexible band of magnets around the lower esophagus. This magnetic sphincter augmentation device helps prevent acid reflux while allowing normal swallowing.
